Critical Rules Governing CAP Round 2 Option Entry
Aspirants must keep in mind the following procedural regulations while locking choices:
- Mandatory Submission of Fresh Choices: Options submitted during Round 1 will NOT be carried over automatically. Every candidate wishing to participate in Round 2 must log in, create a fresh list of college choices, and confirm them.
- Automatic Cancellation on Upgradation: If a candidate is allotted an upgraded seat in CAP Round 2, their previously retained Round 1 seat is automatically cancelled and reallocated. Upgraded candidates must collect their original certificates from their Round 1 college and report to the new institute.
- Seat Protection on Non-Allotment: If a betterment candidate is not allotted any higher-ranked seat in Round 2, their existing Round 1 seat remains intact and securely reserved.
