List of Central Universities of India 2021, Central universities are also known as union universities and are run by the government of the country. Central universities are formed in India by the act of parliament to provide better education and to guide all of the universities for the further education process. it runs under the classification and directions of the department of higher education connecting their roots with the Ministry of human resources and development. India contains 47 central universities. University in India must be UGC approved which stands for University grants commission where 15 councils work to look after the central universities and their education perspective maintenance.
