Diploma Program Route/Lateral Entry Scheme :
The Diploma in computer engineering is a 3-year diploma program that can be Pursued just after completing 10th standard from any of the recognized boards. The minimum percentage of marks required in the 10th standard is above 50 percent marks. After completing your diploma program you can also have direct admission in the second year of the bachelor’s degree.

ITI’s Diploma for Computer Science and Engineering Students
In India, ITI’s (Industrial Training Institutes) are offering some of the best vocational programs in diverse branches of engineering. Computer science and engineering are also one of them.
There is No Entrance exam for admission in ITI Courses/Trades for Computer Science and Engineering Students.
Admission would be given only to eligible candidates as per the merit list which would be made based on qualifying board examination marks. Bachelor Degree Route

JEE Mains Eligibility: Applicants must be passed 12th with Science stream (PCM Plus English are Compulsory Subjects). For admission into IIT’s, NIT’s, IIIT’s, and CFTI’s Applicants must have qualified 10+ with 75% (65% for reserved category candidates) marks in their respective board examinations.
JEE Advanced: JEE Mains is followed by the JEE Advance Entrance Exam which is conducted by or under the control of Indian Institutes of technologies.
- Mostly in Private Colleges/Institutions, Admission criteria are based on the merit system moreover the average fees for the course are very high.
- And, in government colleges, you have to clear the entrance examination and the average course fees are comparatively low.

Master Degree Route
M.Tech Computer Science or Master of Technology in Computer Science is a 2-year postgraduate degree course that can be pursued after completing the Bachelor’s degree. The course is subdivided into 4 semesters.
Eligibility: The basic eligibility for pursuing M.Tech in Computer Science or M.S. in Computer Science degree is a Completion of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and engineering or any equivalent bachelor’s degree from any recognized university/college with a minimum of 50% marks in Bachelor degree.

So it’s better to clear the examination of the gate and have a better gate score to secure your Master’s degree.
