Admission to an M.Sc. or Ph.D. program in biological science necessitates passing the MPST and an interview. The application form fee for IACS admission in 2024 is INR 1200 for general candidates. Those candidates who fall into the reserved category must pay INR 600.
Aspirants for IACS admission at the UG and PG levels must take the UG Pre-interview screening test as well as the UPST. Aspirants with NEET scores of up to 8000 or JEE Mains scores of up to 8000 will be called directly for the interview round.

IACS Admission 2024 Application form
The IACS Admission 2024 Application Form has been released on 1st April 2024. The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (LACS) is an abbreviation for the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science. Motivated Indian nationals are encouraged to apply for Masters and Integrated Masters-PhD Programs in the Schools of Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Materials Science, Mathematical and Computational Sciences.
Admission to the UG-PG and Integrated M.Sc-Ph.D. programs are determined by the institute’s entrance exam. Candidates for the UG-PG must take the UG Pre-Interview Screening Test (UPST), whereas candidates for the International M.Sc.-Ph.D. must take the Master’s Pre-Interview Screening Test (MPIST) (MPST). Following the interview phase, the selection is made.

IACS Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements outlined below.
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering with the smallest first division in both 10 and 10+2 levels and a minimum first class (60 percent marks or equal) in Bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply (reserved class candidates must have a minimum of 55 percent marks or equal in 10 10+2 levels and Bachelor’s degree) are eligible to apply.
- Those who have completed the Final Bachelor’s degree examination may apply as well, but their final selection is contingent on achieving the required percentage of marks in the qualifying examination.
- Candidates with a background in engineering who wish to study at the School of Mathematical & Computational Sciences should have adequate training in Mathematical Computer and Computational Methods. Applicants who meet the qualifications must complete a Master’s Pre-Interview Screening Test (MPST).
IACS Admission 2024 Exam Pattern
The following information is provided about the IACS Exam Pattern:
- Exam Mode: The exam will be administered online.
- Multiple Choice Questions will be included on the exam paper.

IACS Admission 2024 Result
Candidates who are further nominated based on written tests will be invited to an interview, from which a maximum of ten (10) candidates will be chosen for admission. A list of successful candidates will be posted on the institute’s website. Foreign candidates who request interviews will be reimbursed with Sleeper Class rail fare by the shortest route if they are chosen and ultimately enroll in the course.
IACS Admission 2024 Merit List
The IACS Answer keys for the exam will be released by higher officials. As the answer keys will assist candidates in determining the correct answers to the questions asked in the exam. The higher officials will begin the evaluation process by using the exam answer keys.
The candidates will then be shortlisted by higher-level officials, who will compile the IACS MTS Merit List 2019. The Merit List includes the names of the candidates who scored the highest in the exam. These candidates are eligible to move on to the next round of selection.
