- Aspirants must have earned a B.Sc., (N) 4 YDC / Post BSC (N) 2 YDC) degree from an Indian Nursing Council-accredited institution with a minimum of 55 percent aggregate marks and a 5% mark relaxation for SC / ST candidates.
- Only candidates in government service are eligible for admission to the Government College of Nursing in Hyderabad. Subject to the fulfillment of government orders as they become available.

- Should have served for at least 5 years in the departments of Medical & Health Service, Vaidya Vidhana Parishad of Telangana & A.P. in any position in Nursing as a regular employee of the Government of Telangana/AP.
