Critical Choice Locking & Auto-Locking Regulations
Candidates must ensure their submitted medical and dental college preferences are properly secured:
- Manual Choice Locking: The locking button will be activated at 04:00 PM on September 8. Candidates must review their list, enter their login password, and lock their preferences to generate a locked confirmation page.
- Automatic Locking Feature: In case a candidate fails to manually lock choices before 11:55 PM on September 8, the system will automatically lock the saved preferences in their current order. However, candidates who did not save any choices will not be considered for seat allotment.
- Preference Re-ordering: No addition, deletion, or re-ordering of college choices will be permitted under any circumstances once the choices are locked or after the deadline passes.
Strict Exit & Security Deposit Forfeiture Rules in Round 2
Unlike Round 1, Round 2 enforces stringent financial and seat-holding consequences:
- No Free Exit: Round 2 does not offer a free exit facility. If a candidate is allotted a fresh seat in Round 2 and chooses not to join, their refundable security deposit (Rs. 10,000 for AIQ/Central/AIIMS/JIPMER or Rs. 2,00,000 for Deemed Universities) will be permanently forfeited.
- Round 1 Upgradation Norms: If a candidate who joined in Round 1 is successfully upgraded to a higher preference in Round 2, their Round 1 seat is automatically vacated and allotted to the next eligible candidate. The candidate must obtain an online relieving letter from their Round 1 college and physically report to the upgraded institute.
- Seat Blocking Restriction: Candidates who join their allotted seat in Round 2 cannot resign or participate in subsequent AIQ counselling rounds (Round 3 or Stray Vacancy). Furthermore, MCC will share the list of joined candidates with State Counselling Authorities to prevent dual seat blocking in state quota rounds.

- Review your selected MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing colleges and verify the order of priority.
- Click on 'Lock Choices' between 04:00 PM and 11:55 PM on September 8.

Mandatory Documents for Institute Reporting (September 12–20)
Candidates allotted seats in Round 2 must keep the following original documents ready for physical verification:
- Provisional Allotment Letter generated from MCC portal.

- Class 10 Certificate & Mark Sheet (as proof of date of birth).
- Class 12 Certificate & Mark Sheet.
- Eight (8) passport-size colour photographs identical to the one on the NEET application form.
