MCC NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Registration Link Activated at mcc.nic.in: Check Choice Filling & Upgradation Rules

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially activated the online registration and fee payment link for Round 2 of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG 2026) All India Quota (AIQ) counselling today, Thursday, September 3, 2026. Eligible candidates seeking admission into MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc Nursing seats across 15% AIQ, Central and Deemed Universities, AIIMS, and JIPMER can now register online via https://www.google.com/url?q=https://mcc.nic.in&source=gmail&ust=1788514785710000&sa=E.

– Round 2 Registration & Fee Payment: September 3 to September 8, 2026 (Fee payment closes at 3:00 PM on Sept 8)
– Online Choice Filling Window: September 4 to September 8, 2026 (11:55 PM)
– Choice Locking: September 8, 2026 (From 04:00 PM to 11:55 PM)
– Seat Allotment Processing: September 9 to September 10, 2026
– Round 2 Allotment Result Declaration: September 11, 2026
– Physical College Reporting: September 12 to September 20, 2026

Registration Categories & Security Deposit Requirements
– Fresh Candidates: Candidates who did not register in Round 1 or who availed of Free Exit can register afresh on the portal.
– Previously Registered Candidates: Candidates who already registered and paid the fees in Round 1 (including those holding admitted seats with willing upgradation) do not need to pay registration fees again.
– Non-Refundable Registration Fee:
* General / EWS (AIQ & Central Universities): Rs. 1,000/-
* SC / ST / OBC / PwD Candidates: Rs. 500/-
* Deemed Universities (All Categories): Rs. 5,000/-
– Refundable Security Deposit:
* AIQ, Central Universities & AIIMS: Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. 5,000/- for SC/ST/OBC/PwD)
* Deemed Universities: Rs. 2,00,000/- (for all categories)

Mandatory Fresh Choice Filling & Seat Upgradation Rules
1. Round 1 Choices Are Null and Void: Choices entered during Round 1 will not be considered for Round 2. Every candidate participating in Round 2 must submit and lock a fresh preference list.
2. Virtual Vacancies & Seat Matrix: Virtual vacancies (seats occupied by Round 1 admitted candidates who applied for upgradation) and clear vacancies are available for selection. If an admitted candidate upgrades, their previous seat is allotted down the merit list.
3. Upgradation Protocol: If a candidate gets upgraded to a higher preference in Round 2, their Round 1 seat is automatically cancelled. They must obtain an online seat relief letter from the Round 1 college and report to the newly allotted college.
4. Exit with Forfeiture: Candidates allotted a fresh seat in Round 2 who do not wish to join can exit by forfeiting their refundable security deposit within the stipulated timeline.

Checklist of Original Documents for College Reporting
– MCC Round 2 Provisional Seat Allotment Letter.
– NEET UG 2026 Admit Card and Official Scorecard issued by NTA.
– Class 10th Certificate and Marksheet (for Date of Birth verification).
– Class 12th Certificate and Marksheet.
– Eight (8) Passport-size Photographs matching the NEET application form.
– Valid Government Photo Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, or Driving License).
– Caste / Category Certificate (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS) in Central Government format (if applicable).
– Disability Certificate issued by a designated MCC Disability Centre (if applicable).
