NEET PG 2026 CBT Paper Structure & Sectional Timing Protocol
Aspirants should manage their pacing in accordance with the mandatory sectional timer architecture:
- Question Breakdown: 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) structured into five mandatory sections (Section A to Section E) with 40 questions per section.
- Time-Bound Sectional Lock (42 Minutes): Each section is strictly allotted 42 minutes. Once the 42-minute timer for a section expires, the computer automatically locks the section and advances to the next. Candidates cannot return to or review previous sections.
- Marking Scheme: +4 marks are awarded for every correct answer, 1 mark is deducted (-1) for every incorrect answer, and 0 marks for unattempted questions.
- Language Medium: The examination is administered entirely in English.
Mandatory Documents to Carry to the Examination Centre Tomorrow
Entry into the test centre requires presenting the following original credentials during security verification:
- Printed Colour Copy of Admit Card: A clean colour printout of the NEET PG 2026 Admit Card downloaded from natboard.edu.in with a recent passport-size colour photograph (minimum 35×45 mm with white background) firmly pasted in the designated box.
- Valid Government Photo Identification (Original & Unexpired): PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, or Aadhaar Card with clear photograph. Photocopies, scanned mobile images, or expired IDs will not be accepted.
- Medical Council Registration Certificate: Original or photocopy of Permanent or Provisional Medical Registration Certificate issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council (SMC).
- FMGE Screening Pass Certificate: Required for Foreign Medical Graduates along with their medical registration document.
Strict Dress Code & Prohibited Items List for Exam Hall
NBEMS enforces rigorous security measures to maintain examination integrity:
- Permissible Attire: Candidates are advised to wear simple, light-coloured, comfortable clothing without large metallic buttons, badges, brooches, or elaborate pockets. Slippers or low-heeled sandals are recommended over heavy shoes.
- Strictly Prohibited Electronics: Mobile phones, smartwatches, fitness bands, Bluetooth earphones, digital timers, calculators, electronic pen drives, and cameras are strictly banned. Centres do not provide storage lockers.
- Prohibited Stationery & Personal Accessories: Pens, pencils, paper sheets, writing pads, geometry boxes, wallets, goggles, handbags, belts, and metal ornaments (chains, rings, bracelets, earrings) are not permitted inside the examination hall.
