The Government of India (GOI) created the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent and self premier examining organization under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, to conduct efficient, straightforward, and global standards exams to assess the competency of aspirants for admissions to premier institutions of higher learning.
The Sainik Schools Society (SSS) is a self-governing body under the Ministry of Defence of the Indian government. Sainik Schools are run by the Society. Sainik Schools are CBSE-affiliated English-medium residential schools. Officers are prepared for the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Khadakwasla (Pune), the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala, and other infantry training academies at Sainik Schools. There are currently 33 Sainik Schools operating across the country.
The final decision is made based on a school-by-school, class-by-class, category-by-category ranking in the Entrance Examination merit list, medical fitness as determined by competent medical authorities, and original document verification.
