TN TET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
If you want to be a teacher in Tamil Nadu, you need to be informed of the TNTET 2024 qualifying criteria before applying for the tests.
Restrictions on Age
- The age of the applicant must be at least 18 years old.
- But no more than 40 years.
- Relaxation of the upper age restriction for applicants from the reserved categories following government laws and regulations.
Paper 1 Education Requirements (1-5)
- Ed for two years in Nursery Teacher Training, BTC in Urdu, and BTC in English Teacher Education Diploma
- It is necessary to have a diploma in elementary education from a recognized teacher training institute, commonly known as a DIET.
- Students in their last year of E.Ed./B.Ed. are also eligible to apply.
- Paper 1 is not open to candidates who are blind or visually handicapped.
Paper 2 Education Requirements (6-8)
- A. / B.Sc. / B.Lit. degree in Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History, and Geography as major courses. Bachelor of Education from a reputed university
- Applicants having a B.Lit. (Tamil) degree are also encouraged to apply.
TN TET 2024 Exam Pattern
- 3 hours in length
- The total number of questions is 150.
- Scheme of Evaluation:
- Correct answers are worth one point apiece.
- Negative marking: There will be no negative grading for this exam.
TN TET 2024 Admit Card
TNTET admission cards are only issued to candidates who complete the registration form. The admit card is sent in the last week of April 2024, and applicants can download it until the test day. Applicants can use their login credentials to download the admit card.
TNTET admission cards may include information about the applicants and the examination, such as the applicants’ names, dates of birth, registration numbers, roll numbers, the day and time of the examination, the paper on which the test is to be taken, and exam center information.
TN TET 2024 Result
For both papers, the results are made available online. Using login credentials, one can view the results on the official website. Applicants from the general category must acquire 60 percent of the marks to be regarded as qualified, while candidates from the reserved category must obtain 55 percent of the marks to be deemed qualified.
The TNTET examination will result in the issuance of a TNTET Qualification Certificate to the applicant. This certificate is good for the rest of your life. TN TET 2024 Merit List
