ITI’s (Industrial Training Institutes) Diploma

ITI diploma course is also very common among Engineering Aspirants who want to pursue any diploma degree in any core branch of engineering. In India, Various ITI’s are offering various Training courses/programs in various branches of engineering. Electronics Engineering/Electronics  Engineering is one of them.

ITI in Electrical Engineer/Electrician Trade

This is also known as ITI Diploma in Electrical Engineering. In general terms, an Electrical Engineer/Electrician is a person who designs and Manufactures and Tests And Repairs Electrical types of equipment, devices, and systems that use electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. It is a 2 -year ITI Diploma Course which includes 4 semesters of six months each. Its course was specially designed to expertise the people who had an interest in the design, construction, and erection of buildings as well. As time Passed away it took a look at modern trade which has been a point of attention to so many Engineering Aspirants.

ITI Electrician trade focuses on various aspects of electricity or power like  – wiring (residential, commercial, and industrial), Repairing home appliances, Repairing electrical machines, lighting, electrical installation works, etc. The main objective of this course is to develop a skilled work-force of qualified electricians / Electrical Engineers in India.

There is no entrance exam for taking admission in ITI this Electrician Trade/Electrical Engineer Trade.

There is no exam conduct for taking the admission of interested candidates in ITI’s. Admission is served on the merit-based system. This merit list is prepared on the basis of your Aggregate percentage of marks in 10th standard. After completing our polytechnic diploma program or ITI Diploma program candidates can get placements as Acoustic consultant, technician, Electrical engineer, Control and instrumentation/Installation engineer. Design engineer. Electronics engineer, etc.

The Minimum Average fees for the ITI diploma in Electronics Assistant Trade varies from one college to another College/Institution. It’s around  Rs. Between INR 35,000 to 3,00,000 as course fees. The ITI Electronics Assistants would normally get an average salary package of Rs.1,00,000 to 1,20,000 Per annum and experience has a strong influencing factor on the payout for this job.

After Completing their ITI diploma they can work as  Electrician, Wireman, Lineman, Repair expert in Municipal Corporations, Armed Forces, State-level electricity boards, PWD’s, PSU’s, etc.

2). Bachelor Degree Route

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)/Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)/Bachelor Of Science (B.Sc) in Electrical Engineering is a program/degree of undergraduate level whose duration is four years And B.Sc in 3 years only. This branch of Engineering is very prominent and also provides high placement packages if one is Graduating from Government Institution.

A candidate must be passed class 10+2  from the science stream with the subjects Mathematics, physics, and chemistry as the core, are eligible for this undergraduate course. Admission in Institutions/ Colleges is mostly done through an entrance examination but in some colleges, there is also a merit-based system.

This is further subdivided into two Routes :

      • Private College Route.
      • Government/Public College Route.

Private College Route

The average fees of B.Tech/B.E/B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from private colleges varies from 4 Lacs – 6 Lacs. But the main demerit of pursuing a bachelor of engineering in Electrical Engineering is that these Colleges don’t provide good placements at all. Most of the time, Candidates have to do everything at their own contacts.

Government College Route (B.Tech/B.E/B.Sc in Electrical Engineering)

The average fees of B.Tech in an Electrical Engineering from public/Government colleges start from 3 Lacs-5 Lacs (without hostel charges).  For taking admission in government colleges or IIT’s, it’s mandatory to clear JEE Mains followed By JEE Advanced Examination. Then only, candidates can get Admission to such Institutions.

After clearing the exam of JEE MAINS and ADVANCE, Candidates / Applicants get admission to respective IIT’s. Like IIT DELHI, IIT BOMBAY, IIT BHU, IIT ROORKEE, etc.

Entrance Examinations

  1. JEE Mains
  2. JEE Advanced

JEE Mains is followed by the JEE Advance Entrance Exam which is conducted by or under the control of Indian Institutes of technologies.

If candidates would like to go for higher studies to get high packages on a job then they can add on a Master’s Degree in their bachelor’s degree as well.

3). Master Degree Route

M.Tech (Master of Technology)/M.Sc in Electrical Engineering/M.E.E (Master in Electrical engineering is a postgraduate level course. This course makes the candidates effective, efficient, experts in designing, Constructing and Repairing, and modifying Electrical Devices in the Electrical industry. The duration of this course is 2 years that makes their candidates as professionals or experts as needed in Electrical Engineering.

Eligibility: Candidate must be passed B.Tech/B.Sc/B.E.E or any other equivalent degree from any of the recognized universities/colleges with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree. A valid GATE score is also needed for getting admission in IITs and Government Colleges And Institutions and making your Masters valuable and high profile earners.

Entrance Examination for M.Tech/M.Sc/M.E.E in Electrical Engineering

GATE: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination that primarily tests the understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science and Technology.

Candidates must have a Valid Gate Score (as NATA score/JEE score to get Admission in bachelor) to get Admission in government or public Colleges or Institutions for a Master’s degree.

Private Colleges offer M.Tech/M.Sc/M.E.E without Entrance Exams

Yes, some of the private colleges are offering M.Tech/M.Sc/M.E.E without any entrance exam. But it is not worth doing a thing, Masters without having a valid gate score that comes from clearing gate examination.

It must be clearly known to all candidates and Applicants who would like to pursue their masters from private colleges so that they easily get their degree. Yeah surely they can get their degree easily without so much hard work but their degree would not be of worth.

So it’s better for them to appear for the Examination of GATE and a valid Appceptable Gate Score to get good placements. The second thing is that the Average required fees of Private Colleges are generally high in both B.tech and M.Tech/M.Sc/M.E.E  or any other equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering as compared to public or government college.
