Eligibility Criteria for ITI Courses

• A student should have passed their class 8th, 10th, or Matriculation from a recognized board or University.
• Students should at least get 40% or above in their class 10th
• There are some courses available which can be opted after class 10tth
• 12th-pass students also can opt for the ITI course.
• It has been observed that many of the ITI courses require a minimum age at the time of admission which is that candidates should not be less than 14 years.
• There is a maximum age for this course that is a candidate should have age below 40 years. However, some age relaxation is given to reserved quota students.
• And to get admission in most of the government ITI colleges a student has to appear and qualify in the ITI entrance test that is conducted by different states. 

ITI After Class 12th

 Many students often have questions about whether ITI courses can be done after Class 12th. The answer to this question is definitely yes, you can do ITI courses after class 12th but there is one condition which you need to fulfil to join this course. The condition here is that you should have studied Maths and Science subjects in your class 12th. Another common confusion that is being found in the minds of students is that they would be getting admission in the second year. This is not true. One additional benefit that a student gets if he/she has completed class 12th before doing ITI is that the student has more understanding of subjects like maths and science. 

Duration for ITI Courses 

The ITI course curriculum is designed in such a way that it focuses more on technical education and skill development for individuals. Therefore the duration for this course varies from 6 months to 2 years. Most of the courses after which one can opt for engineering or a diploma has a duration of 2 years.

There are two ways for getting admission to the ITI course. First is merit-based under which you can get admission based on your performance in your class 10th or 12th. The private institution generally gives admission based on merit while most of the government colleges follow the entrance exams method for admission.

ITI Course fees

The tuition fees for ITI in India vary from INR 5,000 per year to INR 50,000 per year. Government colleges usually charge lower fees as compared to private colleges. Jobs After ITI Courses. The Higher Education after ITI

 There are various higher education opportunities after completion of the ITI course. After completing a 2-year industrial training institute course, you can join Polytechnic courses directly in the second year. If you want to do graduation after ITI, then you have to complete your class 12th. Another option for you could be that with the ITI course, you need to get plus two from NIOS, and then you can graduate from NIOS after completing the ITI course.
