It is held to provide admission to Post Graduate Diploma courses. Foreign candidates are not required to take the entrance exam and are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. To apply for the NSI Admission Test 2024, candidates must fill out the application form, print it, and send it to the NSI Kanpur head office along with the fee in the form of a Demand Draft. Admission tests for P.G. Diploma and Certificate courses are held at NSI Kanpur. Admission will be granted to candidates who pass the Admission Test/Personal Interview.

- Qualification specifics: Candidates for the P.G Diploma Course of Associateship (Technology) must have a B.Sc. with mandatory Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics subjects or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Pass the B.Sc with important Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry/Applied Chemistry/Biochemistry as one of the subjects or the B.Tech in Biotechnology/Chemical Engg. or Bio-Chemical Engg. for the P.G Diploma Course of Associateship (Engineering).
- Candidates who have completed the B.Sc./B.Sc. Agriculture can apply for the P.G Diploma Course in Sugarcane Productivity & Maturity Management. Candidates must pass the ANSI (Sugar Tech) for FNSI in Sugar Technology or Sugar Chemistry, ANSI (Sugar Eng) for FNSI in Sugar Engg., and DIFAT for FNSI in Fermentation Technology.
- Candidates who have passed the 10+2 Science class may apply for the Certificate Course in Quality Control.
