Exam Pattern and Syllabus of CUET 2025
CUET exams consist of chapters you have studied in your class 12 and candidates are advised to read their NCERT textbook thoroughly for scoring well in CUET. This exam is divided into three sections and contains Multiple Choice Questions.
- Section IA and IB – In this section, they mainly check your language skills which mainly focus on how well you can comprehend and solve reading comprehension. The number of questions would be 50.
- Section II – This section consists of Domain subjects which are your key subjects and you have studied this in your class 12. The number of questions would be 40.
- Section III – General Knowledge – This section will evaluate your General knowledge, Quantitative reasoning, Basic Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, etc. It will consist of 60 questions. The number of questions would be 60.
Note:- Students are required to attempt any 50 questions out of 60 in the general test and for all other tests, they have to do any 35 questions out of 40 Questions and 45 out of 50 questions in the language section.
The Time limit for Section I and Section and Section II is 45 minutes while for Section III it is 60 minutes.

The marking scheme for CUET 202r4 looks like this:-
- +5 would be awarded for every correct answer
- -1 would be deducted for every incorrect answer
- 0 marks for not attempting questions
- If more than one option is found correct =5 would be awarded to all students who have attempted that question
- If all options are found correct =5 will be awarded to all students who have attempted that question
