- Candidates must be citizens of India. Candidates who are PIO (Persons of Indian Origin) or OCI (Overseas Citizens of India) are also eligible to apply for the LBS Kerala B.Sc nursing program.

- In-service applicants must be at least 46 years old.
- The candidates must have completed their 12th grade in Science from the Kerala State Board of Education or any other board recognized by the Kerala University of Health Science.
- They must have received at least a 50 percent aggregate in Physics, Biology, and English.
- Applicants who fall under one of the reserved categories will receive a 5% reduction in the minimum aggregate. Applicants from the SC/ST categories, on the other hand, would be eligible for admission if they have passed all subjects in the qualifying examinations.
